Latitude Technologies introduces LWS Sentinel subscription service
July 2, 2003Latitude Technologies has launched its LWS Sentinel wireless data management service. LWS Sentinel is available by subscription for Latitude Mobile Controller (LMC) device users. For enterprise customers seeking to manage wireless data entirely within a private network, the LWS Sentinel is also available under an annual single-site license. The Sentinel, when installed on the customer’s server, will integrate to existing global information system (GIS) and database infrastructure.
The LWS Sentinel service provides a reliable, affordable solution to the processing, storage and retrieval of geo-positioning and telematics data collected and distributed by SkyNode LMC and other custom LMC devices on- board aircraft, ground vehicles and marine craft. For a one-time implementation fee and a nominal subscription surcharge, the LWS Sentinel service can be upgraded to provide real-time and historic event-driven SMS auto-alerts utilizing telematics data received and processed by LWS Sentinel.
Latitude President and Chief Engineer, Mark Insley, in making today’s announcement, commented, “It was our objective to create a cost-effective, plug ‘n’ play solution for LMC customers. Our development team has done an outstanding job. LWS Sentinel has exceeded our expectations and our beta customers’ expectations for ease-of-use and performance results.” Mr. Insley then added, “I am also pleased to report that we will be announcing shortly a map-generation partner, adding even more functionality for LWS Sentinel subscribers.”
