SkyNode ® LMC
The Latitude Mobile Communicator (LMC) provides mobile dispatch and tracking where ground-based modes of communication are inadequate. It is ideally suited for aircraft and ground support equipment used for mission-critical applications including forest fire-fighting, environmental survey, and public safety asset and personnel management.
The SkyNode LMC is an intelligent data terminal that uses any available Iridium satellite communications equipment to provide mobile tracking and messaging services. The LMC provides both real-time and historical content for web-based Geographical Information Systems (GIS) and Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems. Its position and system status reports can be scheduled on a periodic, polled or event-driven basis. Text messages can be sent to a peripheral screen or printer display. A local PC or network can be used to configure both standard and custom-developed applications.
